Reaching Out, Hoi An

Debbie Wibowo February 19, 2021

I saw a beautiful shop in Hoi An during our trip to Vietnam. Upon my entrance, I was mesmerized by an array of beautifully handcrafted teapots, teacups, coffee mugs, and jewelry.

According to its website, Reaching Out (Hòa Nhập) was established in 2000 with the vision of providing opportunities for people of disability to learn skills and gain meaningful employment so that they can integrate fully with their communities and lead independent and fulfilling lives.

The mission caught my heart. I went back to this store three times and gifted myself with tea strainers, coffee cups, coffee dripper and serving plates. If only I had brought bigger suitcases!
