Debbie Wibowo July 28, 2021

I started to drink coffee many moons ago but just started drinking it properly only three years ago. What I meant with properly is drinking coffee as is - black, no sugar, no milk.

Peonies

Debbie Wibowo July 28, 2021

Peonies are very photogenic flowers. They look pretty as bunds, gorgeous when in full bloom, and still look aesthetically pleasing even when wilted. Trader’s Joe has them at a cheaper price than Whole Food. :)

I learned that they grow well in pots. Perhaps I'll get some bulbs this Fall and put my green thumbs to the test.

Roses Are Pink

Debbie Wibowo February 19, 2021

Many moons ago, when I started learning photography, flowers were one of my favorite subjects. I bought different props to set up still life shots using flowers. Well, flowers are still one of my favorite subject but I wanted to focus more on capturing my daughter. In addition, I was being lazy to set up for and clean up after a still life shoot.

Bake!

Debbie Wibowo February 10, 2021

With the pandemic and #stayathome order still going on, people find ways to keep themselves busy at home. Indoor gardening - which I started years ago - and baking - which Jo also started years ago - are two popular activities. Supermarkets were short on rice at one time, toilet paper, and at some point, they were also short on flour! It's just that we have more time to do them now.

Freelensing

Debbie Wibowo February 9, 2021

Some photographers that I follow create breathtaking images using freelensing method. I love the dreamy, heavy blur effect of this technique, so I had to try it! I practiced for several weeks and I freelensed everything! Flower, coffee pot, plants, leaves, computer, and even onions.

West Port Washington

Debbie Wibowo February 9, 2021

Countries and cities implemented a stringent travel restriction. Some countries even closed their international borders. It was not fun, but it also gave us the opportunities to explore New York. West Port Washington is a new favorite spot, especially during Summer. It was calming to sit at the dock, and we even brought lunch one time.
